ODU's Scully to Present Oceanography Seminar
Malcolm Scully, assistant professor of ocean, earth and atmospheric sciences at Old Dominion University, will present his research on measuring turbulence in estuarine environments in the Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO) Spring Seminar Series at 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 30.
The seminar in CCPO's Room 3200 in the Innovation Research Park@ODU Building 1 will be preceded by a reception with refreshments beginning at 3 p.m. The presentations in this series are free and open to the public.
Scully, who joined ODU in 2008, received a Ph.D. in marine science from the College of William and Mary and served in a post-doctoral position at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. His research interests include physical processes that control mixing, circulation and transport in estuaries, numerical modeling of coastal and estuarine systems and boundary layer turbulence.
