Kanda received the Electrochemical Society's Student Research Grant Award for his "Thesis Research of Investigation of Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) High-K Dieletrics on Bonded Strained sSOI Wafers" at their meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, in October 2008. His award certificate and award check of $500 were received this month.
