Open Forum on Institutional Assessment to Be Held Today

Pappas Consulting Group Inc., the firm retained by the Old Dominion University Board of Visitors to perform an institutional assessment, will conduct an open forum for members of the campus community from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, in the Hampton/Newport News Room of Webb University Center. All interested faculty, administrators, staff and students are encouraged to attend.

The board will use the assessment to guide its strategic planning and presidential search process. Phase I of the assessment, which involved interviews with key external constituents, was completed prior to the holidays, and a preliminary report was shared with the board at its annual retreat in January.

The consulting firm is now beginning Phase II of the assessment, which will involve interviews with key internal constituents identified by the board in order to seek perspectives on what ODU's priorities should be over the next three to five years. Stephen Portch, of Pappas Consulting Group, will be on campus Feb. 24-26 to conduct these interviews.
