ODU Exercise Scientist Talks Diabetes with Worldwide Audience

An Old Dominion University exercise physiologist was a guest on the radio show "Diabetes Living Today" this week.

Sheri Colberg-Ochs, associate professor of exercise science, sport, physical education and recreation at ODU, appeared on the show Wednesday night, broadcast by WVLT in Philadelphia. The interview was also streamed worldwide through the "Diabetes Living Today" Web site.

Colberg-Ochs spoke about a blog she had written for the Web site, on what people really need to know about exercise and diabetes.

In the article, Colberg-Ochs talks about the benefits that exercise can bring to diabetes sufferers, notably in "erasing" blood sugar mistakes.

Having personally lived with diabetes since she was 4 years old, Colberg-Ochs has authored eight books and more than 150 research and educational articles about the disease.
