High-ranking Marine Officer to Speak to Potential Recruits

The deputy commanding general of U.S. Marine Corp Forces Command, Maj. Gen. Cornell A. Wilson Jr., will visit Old Dominion University Wednesday, Feb. 18, and again next month, to speak to students interested in careers as Marine Corps officers.

The talk, from 6-8 p.m. in the Mills Goodwin Jr. Building, will focus on growth, trust and leadership, three cornerstones of the growth of recruits into Marines. He will also call on his experience to offer perspective on the future of naval services.

Wilson will visit again March 26, for an early morning talk, 6-7:30 a.m. in the Goodwin Building.

For more information about the visit, contact Capt. Jerry Parchman, assistant professor of naval science, at 683-3537 or jparchma@odu.edu.
