Hampton University Professor Presenting Oceanography Seminar

Deidre Gibson, assistant professor of marine science and biology at Hampton University, will present a seminar on blooms of tiny marine organisms called doliolids at 3:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23, in the Spring 2009 Seminar Series of Old Dominion University's Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO).

The seminar titled "Doliolid Blooms: What Are the Driving Variables? Investigations of Trophic Interactions" will be in Room 3200 of ODU's Innovation Research Park@ODU Building 1. It will be preceded by a reception with refreshments beginning at 3 p.m. The seminars in the series are free and open to the public.
