ODU's Koch to Receive Honorary Degree from Illinois State University
Old Dominion University President Emeritus and Board of Visitors Professor of Economics James V. Koch will receive an honorary degree during Illinois State University's Founders' Day Convocation on Feb. 19.
Koch, a former faculty member and chair of the Department of Economics at ISU, currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the university's Department of Economics.
In addition to serving as president of Old Dominion University from 1990 to 2001, Koch was president of the University of Montana and has held research and teaching positions at California State University at Los Angeles, the University of Grenoble in France, Brown University, Rhode Island College, Ball State University, University of Hawaii and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia.
