On March 17th, 2009, Old Dominion University's Batten College of Engineering and Technology will be hosting a Green conference (on St. Patrick's Day appropriately!) entitled "Engineering Unplugged". Representatives from education, industry and government will attend. In addition to having several speakers there will be breakout educational sessions that will award registrants with continuing education credits. See, www.engineeringunplugged.com for specific subject matter.
The conference will have three educational tracks: LEED, Energy Conservation and Future Initiatives. Nationally recognized speakers as well as those from Virginia's Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, Virginia's Department of Environmental Quality and the Department of Energy will be in attendance to make presentations. This first annual Green Conference is slated to be the premier Green Event in Hampton Roads.
