Batten College Continues to Foster Partnerships in Education

The College of Engineering and Technology welcomed educators from the local area to campus on December 17 for a breakfast and discussion session.  Representatives from Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Suffolk were in attendance.  The program included a presentation on the college by Dr. Linda Vahala, the College's Associate Dean and a presentation on the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) program by Marcie Gerdin, Old Dominion University's PLTW Director of Outreach.  Attendees also engaged in a lively, open dialogue about potential partnership and collaborations to improve education.  This event is part of ongoing efforts by the College to continue and increase interaction with educators and schools in the Hampton Roads area.
