World AIDS Day 2008

ODU's Women's Center, Student Affairs and a number of other campus organizations sponsored informational events this week as part of World AIDS Day, Dec. 1.

Sponsored events included:

Monday, Dec. 1 - Unveiling of the AIDS Memorial Quilt on the catwalks in both North and South Malls of Webb University Center. The AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display all week.

Tuesday, Dec. 2 - Information tables in the South Mall of Webb University with facts and statistics about HIV and AIDS.

Wednesday, Dec. 3 - Free HIV Testing

World AIDS Day 2008 activities were sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and Leadership, the Center for Community Service, Student Health Services, the Student Affairs Leadership Team, the Women's Center, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Theta Chi Fraternity, Student Government Association, Human Services Association, Graduate Society for International Studies, T.R.U.S.T., Circle K International, Student Health Advisory Council, Pre-Health Club, ACCESS, and the Tidewater AIDS Community Taskforce.
