Professor from Greece to Speak at Molecular Medicine Seminar
Lazaros Sakkas, professor of medicine and chief of the rheumatology section of the Thessaly University School of Medicine in Larrisa, Greece, will speak in the Old Dominion University Center for Molecular Medicine seminar series at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, in Room 144 of the Oceanography and Physics Building.
Sakkas, who also is an adjunct faculty member at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, will speak on "The Role of Immune Cells in the Pathogenesis of Systemic Sclerosis."
The center's seminars are free and open to the public. Christopher Osgood, associate director of the center and associate dean of the ODU College of Sciences, is the seminar series organizer.
