Gregory A. Lumsden, retired senior managing director, and president and chief executive officer for the Full Spectrum Lending Division of Countrywide Financial Corp.,will be the guest speaker for the Landmark Executive-in-Residence speaker series today at Old Dominion University.

The series is sponsored by Landmark Communications and ODU's College of Business and Public Administration. He founded and served as senior vice president of Countrywide's Correspondent Lending Division and was executive vice president of the Retail Branch Division.

Lumsden is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the California Mortgage Bankers Association and its Single Family Home Committee, and the Los Angeles Board of Realtors' Real Estate Finance Committee. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from ODU and holds degrees in political science and urban affairs from Virginia Tech.

The Landmark Executive-in-Residence speaker series is designed to enrich students' entrepreneurial spirit, their awareness of the success that can be built on their academic experience, and their understanding of the importance of leading with integrity.

The series is dedicated to bringing accomplished business leaders, authors and internationally known speakers to campus to share their history and vision, giving students the opportunity to learn firsthand the strategies and experiences that forge great ethical global leaders.

Established in 2001, the Landmark Executive-in-Residence program is funded by an endowment from a group of former Landmark Communications executives in honor of Frank Batten Sr., Landmark's founder and the first rector of the ODU Board of Visitors.
