Thursday Evening Classes, Events Cancelled

Due to the heavy rains and significant tidal flooding in the region, Old Dominion University classes, beginning with classes at 4:20 p.m., are cancelled on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Additionally, university activities scheduled for this evening after 5 p.m. will be cancelled. This includes the President's Lecture Series featuring writer Frank DeFord, which was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., and the Town Hall Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m.

Students and others parked on campus are urged to park their vehicles in one of the university's parking garages, if they have not already done so, to avoid flooding issues.

Classes and university offices are expected to open tomorrow morning as usual.
