INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE FOR THE ODU COMMUNITY
With computer models shifting the path of Tropical Storm Hanna to potentially cross over the region late Saturday or early Sunday, Old Dominion University faculty, staff and students are reminded that any delays or closings will be announced through the university's ODU Alerts messaging system, web site and e-mail, and local media outlets.
University officials are monitoring the storm and will announce any closings or delays as appropriate. Please regularly check www.odu.edu for updates. The following local media outlets will also carry information about delays or closings: television stations WTKR-TV 3, WAVY-TV 10, WVEC-TV 13, and radio stations WNIS-AM 790, WHRV-FM 89.5 and WHRO-FM 90.3.
Student affairs staff are making preparations to secure the residence halls and help make accomodations, if necessary, for students who do not live on campus. Should the storm require an evacuation, the university has an agreement with Longwood University to house both on-campus and off-campus residents for the duration of the storm.
