BCET Enters into Agreement with Pakistani University
US, Pakistani universities enter into agreement for cooperation at PhD level (Associated Press of Pakistan, August 27, 2008) WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (APP): Pakistan's University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar and America's Old Dominion University, Virginia have entered into an academic agreement for mutual cooperation in teaching and research at Ph.D. level. Under the split program of PhD, teaching and research would be undertaken in both universities. The ODU will help the UET for the development of PhD teaching courses, a news release said.
Besides teaching on reciprocal basis, research will be undertaken jointly by both universities. Joint publications and seminars are also the part of the programÂ… The PACES, he said, has already negotiated academic linkages of UET with University of Maryland, George Washington University, George Mason University, and University of California at Berkeley, Muhammad Sarwar Khan, Adviser Finance and Planning of UET and John Broderick, Acting President, Carol Simpson, Provost and Vice President for academic affairs, and Oktay Baysal, Dean of Engineering School of ODU, Virginia.
