43rd Street Construction Update

Thursday, Aug. 14 - All side streets, including Bluestone, Elkhorn and Parker avenues, will be paved and capped on the south side of 43rd Street. There will be no access to 43rd Street from side streets to the south during this time.

Friday, Aug. 15 - In addition to the inner lanes already blocked, the outer lane on the south side of 43rd Street will be blocked for paving (paving 43rd from Powhatan Avenue to Hampton Boulevard, south lanes). Only one lane will be open on the north side of 43rd Street, which will result in a temporary one-way traffic pattern. All vehicles parked in lots or garages that utilize 43rd Street must turn right and head west toward Powhatan Avenue to exit the campus.

Saturday, Aug. 16 - All lanes on 43rd Street will be blocked for continued south-lane paving and additional paving on the north lanes. There will be no access to 43rd Street at this time. Turn lanes from Hampton Boulevard, as well as the east-west entrance to 43rd Street, will be blocked off.

Sunday, Aug. 17 - All 43rd Street lanes will be paved, capped and open.

Tuesday, Aug. 19 - Pavement painting will commence.
