Celebrate College Colors Day Today!
Old Dominion University invites students, faculty, staff and alumni to show their Monarch pride today by wearing ODU apparel, for the fourth annual College Colors Day. As part of the celebration, the new replica football jersey and the marching band uniform will be unveiled at noon at the University Village Bookstore.
College Colors Day, an annual event dedicated to promoting college traditions and school spirit, coincides with back-to-school activities and the kickoff of intercollegiate athletics at colleges and universities around the country.
As part of the noontime activities in the University Village, members of the new ODU marching band will give a brief performance, and football head coach Bobby Wilder will offer remarks.
Eight shops on Monarch Way will offer discounts to anyone wearing ODU apparel today. The participating retailers are: Monarch Sports Grille, SOBO, Borjo Coffeehouse, Perfectly Frank, Tropical Smoothie, Boar's Nest, Zero's and La Herradura.
College Colors Day 2008 is sponsored in part by the offices of University Events and Licensing, Student Activities and Leadership, and Athletics, and the University Village Bookstore.
