Yetiv to Discuss Energy and US Foreign Policy "On the Record with Joel Rubin" Sunday
Steve Yetiv, professor of political science at Old Dominion University and a Mideast energy expert, will be a guest on the WVEC-TV issues-oriented talk show, "On the Record with Joel Rubin," at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 13.
Yetiv is the author of the recently published book, "The Absence of Grand Strategy: The United States in the Persian Gulf, 1972-2005" (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2008), a provocative and panoramic view of American strategies in a region critical to the functioning of the entire global economy. The publisher has submitted the book for Pulitzer Prize consideration.
He also is the award-winning author of "Crude Awakenings: Global Oil Security and American Foreign Policy" (Cornell University Press, 2004), which examines global oil security, with a focus on longer-run oil market dynamics, OPEC, the Middle East and global interdependence.
