College of Business and Public Administration Ranked 17th in World for Publishing in International Business Journals
A recent study published in the prestigious Asia Pacific Journal of Management ranks Old Dominion University 17th in the world among universities with the most prolific authors in leading international business journals.
The study examines how scholarly submissions for publication in international business journals can serve as indicators for which educational institutions will take the lead in international business scholarship. In addition to the overall ranking of universities, the study ranks individual authors.
John Ford, professor of marketing at ODU and president-elect of the Academy of Marketing Science, is ranked fifth for his publications in the journal International Marketing Review and 85th for his publications overall in the top six international business journals.
Anusorn Singhapakdi, also a professor of marketing at ODU, ranks 29th among the most prolific authors for his publications in International Marketing Review.
"We know that the faculty in the College of Business and Public Administration are outstanding scholars. It's wonderful, then, when we receive external validation as in this study. International business is part of our mission and this study proves that we have some of the top faculty in the world discovering new knowledge in this important area," said Nancy Bagranoff, dean of ODU's College of Business and Public Administration.
