ODU's Sanchez-Hucles on NPR Program March 7
Janis Sanchez-Hucles, professor and chair of the Department of Psychology at Old Dominion University, will be a guest on the National Public Radio show "News & Notes" Friday, March 7 at 1 p.m.
A clinical psychologist whose research often involves ethnic minorities and women, Sanchez-Hucles will be interviewed about mental health issues in the African American community. Specific areas for discussion include how culture affects therapy and racial disparities in therapy.
"News & Notes," which is hosted by Farai Chideya, is an hour-long show broadcast on weekdays on NPR. It explores issues and people from an African-American perspective.
