ODU Women a 5th Seed in NCAA Tourney

The Old Dominion University Lady Monarchs (29-4) are seeded fifth in the Greensboro Regional of the NCAA women's basketball tournament and will play 12th seed Liberty University (28-3) in the first round at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 23, in the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

If ODU advances, the team will play the winner of the University of Virginia (23-9) and University of California, Santa Barbara (23-7) first-round game, which begins about 9 p.m. Sunday. Second-round games at the Constant Center are on Tuesday.

The first-round games at the Constant Center on Sunday afternoon match No. 1 seed University of North Carolina (30-2) against Bucknell University (16-15) and University of Georgia (22-9) against University of Iowa (21-10).
