TWO STUDENTS NOMINATED FOR USA TODAY'S COLLEGE ACADEMIC TEAM

Bailey Mosier, a senior communications major from Las Vegas, and Gordon Tolson, Jr., a senior graphic design major from Farnham, Va.

USA Today will select 20 students out of the national pool of applicants for its first team, which will be announced Feb. 14. The winners named to the first team will receive a $2,500 cash award and be featured in USA Today as representatives of all outstanding undergraduates. Forty more students will be named to Second and Third Teams.

This award honors full-time undergraduates who not only excel in scholarship but also extend their intellectual abilities beyond the classroom to benefit society. Criteria include grades, academic rigor, leadership, activities and more.

Criteria were developed in conjunction with newspaper and the following organizations:
National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities
