Contemporary Music Concert Today
The students of Andrey Kasparov, associate professor of music at Old Dominion University and director of the contemporary music ensemble, Creo, will present a concert entitled "Subito Innovations: A Taste of Contemporary Compositions" at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Diehn Composers Room (Room 189) located in the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The concert will include works by Allan Blank, Timothy Melbinger, Witold Lutoslawski and Grazyna Bacewicz. Allan Blank's manuscripts are a part of the Contemporary Music Research Collection and Timothy Melbinger's compositions are held in the New Music Performance Collection of the Old Dominion University Libraries' Diehn Composers Room.
