TOP SCHOLARS TO BE HONORED AT COMMENCEMENT

Six Old Dominion University graduates are scheduled for recognition as outstanding scholars during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

The Outstanding Scholar Awards, presented by the Alumni Association, are given to the student with the highest grade point average in each college. The top scholars and their inspirational faculty are:

Arts and Letters-Monir C. Feezor of Chesapeake, an English major with an emphasis on education, earned a 4.0 GPA (Jeffrey Richards, eminent professor of English).

Business and Public Administration-Darius A. Malinowski of Spokane, Wash., a business management major and psychology minor with a 4.0 GPA (Samuel F. Coppage, associate professor of MIS/decision sciences). Malinowski is also honored with the distinction of Outstanding University Scholar for the entire university.

Education-Susan Kroh of Culpeper, a human services major with a psychology minor, earned a 4.0 GPA (Jill C. Jurgens, associate professor of educational leadership and counseling).

Engineering and Technology-Andrew J. Leedom of Virginia Beach, a mechanical engineering major and civil engineering minor with a 4.0 GPA (Arthur C.Taylor III, professor of mechanical engineering).

Health Sciences-April Leigh Ehrhardt of Millington, Mich., a nursing major and military leadership minor with a 4.0 GPA (Lt. Cmdr. Enid S. Brackett, assistant professor of naval science).

Sciences-Hali G. Wood of Bedford, a psychology major and criminal justice minor with a 4.0 GPA (Jennifer Younkin, lecturer of pyschology).
