ODU HOSTS SEVENTH ANNUAL "ILLUMINATION: A HOLIDAY TRADITION"
A gingerbread cookie decorating contest and holiday music will be among the highlights of Old Dominion University's seventh annual "Illumination: A Holiday Tradition," Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Free and open to the public, the festival will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the main lobby of Webb University Center. The program, and reception will begin at 5:15 p.m. on Kaufman Mall.
Alternate rain site: North Mall at Webb University Center.
The ceremony will also feature a holiday musical performance by the Larchmont Elementary School Chorus.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.
The event is also a charitable donation drive. Please bring canned goods for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and/or a book for Spotlight Books. Spotlight Books is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of training and employment for low-income people.
Parking will be available in garages on the corner of 43rd St. and Elkhorn Avenue.
