EDUCATION DEAN APPOINTED TO STATE PANEL
William H. Graves, dean of the Darden College of Education at Old Dominion University, has been appointed to the Commonwealth Educational Roundtable, a state panel that advises governmental agencies on educational leadership.
The 21-panel group will advise the General Assembly and the state Board of Higher Education on subjects such as the licensure of principals and other school administrators.
Dean of the Darden College of Education since 2001, Graves is one of two on the panel to represent South Hampton Roads. The other area advisor is Brian K. Matney, principal of Frank W. Cox High School in Virginia Beach.
