CAMPAIGN 'O7 EVENT SLATED FOR TODAY

Prominent Virginia Democrats, including Gov. Tim Kaine, former Gov. Mark Warner and U.S. Representative Bobby Scott, will be at Old Dominion University's Webb Center for a campaign rally on the eve of the general election.

ODU's College Democrats will host the rally on Monday, Nov. 5, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the North Cafeteria. The event is free and open to the public.

Virginia Delegate Ward Armstrong and Virginia Sen. Mary Margaret Whipple also are participating in the Democrats' "Countdown to Progress" tour that began on Tuesday in McLean. It is designed to highlight the progress Virginia has made under Democrats in the governor's mansion and in the General Assembly. Legislative elections will be on Tuesday's ballot, as will some local elections.

Guests attending this event should park in Lot #1, near WHRO, or in Garages A and B, on the corner of 43rd Street and Elkhorn. Parking signs will guide guests to these lots and walking signs will guide them to Webb Center.
