POETRY READING FOR "LOVE YOUR BODY" DAY IS OCT. 16 AT ODU

In celebration of "Love Your Body" Day, the women's studies department at Old Dominion University will sponsor a poetry reading from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Burgess Room (9024) of the Batten Arts and Letters Building.

Poets who will be reading include two former ODU students, Remica Bingham and Nan Byrne; two current students, Lynne Downs and Andrea Nolan; and Til Cox, an academic adviser in the College of Arts and Letters.

The 2007 "Love Your Body" campaign is sponsored by the National Organization for Women (www.nowfoundation.org), an organization devoted to furthering women's rights through education and litigation, to counter negative body image and promote positive self-esteem among girls and women.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the women's studies department at (757) 683-3823 or kpim@odu.edu.
