Baumgart, the Virginia Microelectronics Consortium Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is an expert in the fields of microelectronic research and nanotechnology. A former Fulbright Scholar, he has also worked for IBM and Infineon.

Beskok, the Batten Professor of Computational Engineering in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, came to ODU in January 2007 from Texas A&M University. His areas of expertise include aerospace engineering, which he teaches, and electrokinetic transport.
