"PACKAGES FOR TROOPS & SAILORS" EVENT TODAY ON KAUFMAN MALL

The Military Student Union, in conjunction with the Semper Fi Society and the Submarine Club, is hosting a Packages for Troops & Sailors event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 on Kaufman Mall.

The groups are asking the student body, faculty and general public to show their support by collecting any of the following items to place in packages for our deployed troops and sailors: magazines, playing cards, letters, pictures, handheld electronic games, books, used or new CDs and DVDs, hand sanitizer, non-perishable foods in original packages such as candy, granola bars, crackers or Chex mix, soap, shampoo, stationary, puzzles and toothbrushes.

Packing materials, addressees and postage will be provided by the Military Student Union. Students are invited to bring addresses of deployed friends and relatives to receive a package also.
