NOAA LAB DIRECTOR TO SPEAK TODAY AT IRP@ODU
Sydney Levitus, director of the Ocean Climate Laboratory of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, will speak on "Warming of the World Ocean, 1955-2006" in Room 3200 of ODU's Innovation Research Park Building One at 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 10.
His talk is part of the Fall 2007 Seminar Series of the ODU Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography.
Levitus, who also directs the World Data Center for Oceanography in Silver Spring, Md., has published studies for two decades on the temporal variability of temperature and heat content, and also the salinity, of the world ocean.
