FORMER CFO OF CORRECTIONS CORPORATION OF AMERICA TO SPEAK FOR EXECUTIVE-IN-RESIDENCE SERIES TUESDAY

Irving E. Lingo, Jr., retired chief financial officer of Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), will be the guest speaker for Old Dominion University's Landmark Executive-in-Residence Series at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in 1005 Constant Hall. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Sponsored by the College of Business and Public Administration, the series brings accomplished business leaders to campus to share their firsthand experiences with students.

With more than 16,000 employees in 65 facilities nationwide, CCA founded the private corrections industry in 1983 and has grown to become the world's largest owner and operator of private prisons, and the fifth largest prison system in the United States.

A 1975 graduate of Old Dominion University, Lingo served as CCA's chief financial officer from 2000 until his retirement in 2007. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer of Bradley Real Estate and a number of public and private companies.
