FRIDAY PEP RALLY TO SHOWCASE SCHOOL COLORS, MONARCH PRIDE

A pep rally, featuring music, cheerleaders, the dance team and proud Monarchs from across the campus, will officially kick off Spirit Fridays at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31 on Kaufman Mall.

During the event, President Roseann Runte will deliver a Presidential Proclamation declaring every Friday during the school year a day when faculty, staff and students should wear the Old Dominion University colors with pride. Friday's pep rally coincides with College Colors Day, a nationwide event at the beginning of the intercollegiate athletics season that celebrates the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great.

In the event of inclement weather, the pep rally will be held at the House of Blue in Webb University Center.
