ODU STUDENT PARTICIPATES IN YOUTH CONFERENCE IN MOSCOW
Boyan Stanoev, a senior International Studies major at Old Dominion University, participated in the 5th annual Russian Euro-Atlantic Youth Conference in Moscow, Russia, June 18-19.
Sponsored by Old Dominion's Model United Nations Program, Stanoev joined students and young professionals from across Europe and the Atlantic, including both NATO and Partnership for Peace members, at the conference to examine "Five years of NATO-Russia Council: Results and Prospects."
A native of Sofia, Bulgaria now a permanent resident in Virginia Beach, Stanoev is a very active participant in ODU's Model UN Society and will represent Slovakia in a model NATO simulation in July at The European International Model United Nations conference held in The Hague, Netherlands.
After finishing a master's degree, Stanoev would like to work in the international diplomacy field, with a preference for working in one of the various European Union institutions.
