CHARLES WILSON RECEIVES ALUMNI AWARD FROM ALMA MATER
Charles E. Wilson Jr., interim vice provost for University College and University Professor of English at Old Dominion University, received the David Bottoms Distinguished Alumnus Award March 28 from the University of West Georgia as part of the school's university-wide Honors Day celebration.
Presented by the West Georgia English department, the annual award is named for a UWG alumnus and Georgia novelist.
Wilson, who earned his bachelor's degree from UWG, gave a talk, titled "Ernest Gaines' 'Manhood': Contemporary Applications," during the visit to his alma mater.
