ANTONY BERIS TO DELIVER LECTURE MARCH 30
Antony Beris, the Arthur B. Metzner Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Delaware, will deliver a lecture today as part of the Old Dominion University College of Sciences and Department of Mathematics and Statistics Distinguished Lecturer Colloquium.
At 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 30, also in the OCNPS auditorium, Beris will speak on "Multiscale Analysis of Strong Extenstional Flows of Polymer Solutions and Melts."
The research of Beris, who received a doctoral degree in 1985 from Massachusetts Institute of Techology, focuses on modeling and simulation of flow processes, transport phenomena and flow-induced phase transitions in systems with a complex internal microstructure.
Both lectures are free and open to the public.
