FLAGS LOWERED IN HONOR OF FORMER REP. BRAULT
Gov. Tim Kaine ordered the flag of Virginia at state facilities to be lowered in honor of Adelard L. "Abe" Brault, a former member of the Virginia Senate, who died Tuesday. He was 97.
Brault, a Fairfax County Democrat, retired in 1983 after 18 years in the Virginia Senate, including a term as majority leader from 1976 to 1980.
Brault is survived by his wife, Clarice Covington "Percy" Brault; three children; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia will remain at half-staff until the day of internment.
