FACULTY SUMMER TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES IN JAPAN
The University of Kitakyushu (Kitakyushu, Japan - on the southern island of Kyushu), a long-time ODU partner, has offered Old Dominion University the opportunity to send one professor to teach American Society/American Culture to their students this summer. Classes will be conducted from August 20-24, 3 classes a day (90 minutes per class).
The professor will teach a series of 15 classes. The rate of compensation for each class is 11,700 yen per class (approximately $97 in US dollars). Housing will be provided by the University of Kitakyushu. Airfare will be provided by the Office of International Programs. Recent participants in the program include: Lynn Doyle (2006), Joseph Cosco (2005), Jonathan Appel (2004) and Stacey Plichta (2003). The program is open to full-time faculty from any discipline.
