ODU JOINS COMMON APPLICATION MEMBERSHIP ASSOCIATION
Old Dominion University has joined the Common Application Membership Association for the 2007-08 academic year.
Alice R. McAdory, executive director of admissions, said, "With a growing number of students applying to Old Dominion, membership in this organization helps streamline the application process for both students and the university."
The association was established in 1975 by 15 private colleges that wished to provide a common, standardized first-year application form for use at any member institution. It currently has 321 college and university members representing 43 states, the District of Columbia and Qatar.
Students like the Common Application because it is easy to complete, eliminates redundancy and offers a more efficient way to organize the application process, McAdory said.
