COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING STUDENTS TO COMPETE IN NATIONAL COMPETITION
The Old Dominion University American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Steel Bridge Team placed in the top three for all seven categories at the Virginia Regional Competition and will now compete in the national competition May 25 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The group won second place overall and first place for aesthetics in the regionals. This is the second consecutive year that the team has competed at the national level.
Members of the team include: Paul Johnson, team captain and ASCE president, Jeff Watson, Doug Watson, Keegan Cline, John Thomas, Ben Pongratz and their coach, Danny Cowan.
