ODU CHAPTER OF TRI-BETA HONOR SOCIETY WINS AWARD

The Old Dominion University chapter of Tri-Beta Honor Society won honorable mention in the society's 2006 national outstanding chapter competition. Tri-Beta is a biological studies honor society.

"This award is testimony to the excellent service of our officers, past and present," said Christopher Osgood, associate professor of biological sciences and faculty advisor to the ODU chapter.

The 2005-06 officers of the chapter are Sophia Mitchell, president; Victoria Olowu, vice president; Letta Collins, secretary; Lindsey Koren, treasurer; and Emma Bruce, public relations officer.
