GEMBITSKY NAMED BOARD OF VISITORS STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE
Michael P. Gembitsky, a junior philosophy major from Norfolk, was named the student representative to the Old Dominion University Board of Visitors on Friday, April 7.
The student representative serves a one-year term as a nonvoting, advisory member of the board. To be eligible for the position, a student must have successfully completed at least 15 semester hours of coursework at Old Dominion and possess and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
Gembitsky, who is minoring political science, currently serves as executive vice president for the university's Interfraternity Council and vice president of programming for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is a youth soccer coach and works as a youth wrestling camp counselor.
