NEXT 'HUMAN EXPERIENCE' FILM SCREENING TONIGHT

Old Dominion University President Roseann Runte will be performing selected poetry on Monday, Nov. 8, as part of "The Human Experience" film presentation of "To Live."

Introductory remarks will be delivered by Tanya Lee, multicultural outreach specialist in the Office of Multicultural Student Services. More information on the Human Experience Film Series is available online at http://studentservices.odu.edu/mss/humanexperience.

From the pre-communist 1940s, through the revolution, the Great Leap Forward of the 1950s, the Cultural Revolution of the 1960s, and beyond, "To Live" traces the fortunes of one lowly family in China as larger political and economic forces bear down upon them.

"The Human Experience," a film series presented by Old Dominion University's Office of Multicultural Student Services, will be on Mondays throughout the fall and spring semesters.

The series offers an observation of the human struggle to survive and finds resolution within one's own society, regardless of demographics. Each film is introduced by a member of the student/faculty community, providing greater insight into understanding the social context of the film and its relevance to our own life experiences.

All films are free and open to the public and will be presented at 8 p.m. in the Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building room Room 102. For more information, call 683-4406.
