ODU PHYSICS STUDENTS' PUMPKIN DROP IS TODAY AT B.A.L.

The Old Dominion University Society of Physics Students (SPS) and ODU Physics Department will hold its annual pumpkin drop from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, on the south side of the Batten Arts and Letters Building.

Students will attempt to catch at least one intact pumpkin dropped off of the nine-story building. Tests based on physics principles will also be performed on the falling pumpkins. A prize will be awarded for the best catcher design.
