HOLIDAY SCHEDULES ANNOUNCED

Virginia Gov. Mark Warner has authorized additional holiday time for all state employees for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Old Dominion University has modified its 2004 holiday schedule accordingly and the closing and opening dates are indicated below.

December Break
Closed at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005
Open for business on Monday, Jan. 3, 2005.

Some employees may have to work during the holidays, and the appropriate holiday pay and compensatory leave policies will apply. Classified employees working flexible or alternate work schedules should consult the Commonwealth's Department of Human Resource Management Policy 4.25, Holidays, or call ODU's Department of Human Resources at 683-3042 for guidance.
