GLOBAL SECURITY PANEL FRIDAY IN B.A.L.

A panel titled "American Power and Global Security: What Role for the UN and NATO?" will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in Batten Arts and Letters Building Room 921.

Panelists will be Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Chief of Staff, Canadian Army Lt. Gen. J.O. Michel Maisonneuve; Kurt Taylor Gaubatz, director of the Graduate Program in International Studies at Old Dominion University and; Regina Karp, director of the ODU Center for Regional and Global Study.

Chandra De Silva, dean of ODU's College of Arts and Letters, will introduce the panelists. A reception follows.

The panel is sponsored by the ODU Model U.N. Society, the ODU Center for Regional and Global Study, the ODU Office of International Programs, and the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads. Special support was provided by the UN Foundation and The People Speak (www.ThePeopleSpeak.org).
