ENGINEERING PROFESSOR NAMED TO INSIDE BUSINESS LIST OF TOP YOUNG BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS

Anthony W. Dean, assistant professor of engineering technology at Old Dominion University, has been named to Inside Business newspaper's "Forty Under Forty" list of the area's top business professionals.

The annual list, published in this week's edition of the newspaper, highlights forty young, rising business people who are both successful in their careers and involved in the community. The group was chosen from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of five judges.

Dean, who received a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and a Ph.D. in engineering management from Old Dominion, joined the faculty in 2003 after working for a local engineering firm. His most recent research includes a NASA summer faculty fellowship and work with the U.S. Department of Energy and the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy.
