DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES TODAY AT VMASC

Paul K. Davis, a senior scientist and research leader at the RAND Corp., will speak at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept 14 at Old Dominion University's Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) in Suffolk.

Davis is speaking as part of the Distinguished Speakers Series hosted by VMASC and the Batten College of Engineering and Technology.

Davis will speak on why model composability is difficult, and not just a software problem. His speech is a summary of a recent study done at RAND at the request of the U.S. Defense Modeling and Simulation Office.

Professor of policy analysis at Pardee RAND graduate school, Davis holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in chemical physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
