COLLABORATIVE FACULTY RESEARCH SOUGHT FOR NEW GRANT PROGRAM
Old Dominion University faculty are invited to apply for summer funding through a new grant program, Summer Experience to Enhance Collaborative Research (SEECR, pronounced "seeker").
This program emphasizes collaboration and will fund pilot collaborative work by pairs of faculty from different colleges.
Faculty may be in either full-time tenure track or SSRP positions at a rank of assistant professor and above. Faculty will be funded in pairs and funding will be based upon both the merit of the proposed project and upon cross-disciplinary breadth. The only constraints are that: 1) the project must constitute a new collaboration and; 2) the faculty must be from different colleges.
Each faculty member will receive a $6,000 stipend for the summer effort. In addition, up to $5,000 will be available to the pair for supplies, equipment, or part-time assistance (e.g. graduate or undergraduate student assistant).
Proposals will be due in January, but a notice of intent will be needed in December. Office of Research staff will be happy to assist faculty in identifying collaborators if needed.
