SCHOLA CANTORUM LEADS 'SUMMER SING' AUG. 7

Schola Cantorum presents its 3rd annual "Summer Sing," on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Old Dominion University's Diehn Fine and Performaing Arts Center.

From 1:30-4:30 p.m., workshops will be held on diction, sight reading and eurhythmics. A lecture on the history of the Mozart Requiem will be at 6:15 p.m.

At 7 p.m., the piece will be performed with the audience as the choir. Music will be provided. Featured performers include: Lee Teply, conductor; Charles Woodward, piano; Agnes Mobley Wynne, soprano; Kim Rouke, alto; Robert Shoup, tenor; and Steven Kelley, bass.

The performance is open to the public. Admission: $10 for the workshops; $10 for the performance. More information is available on the Web at www.schola-cantorum.org.
